Name: Takeshi Yamamoto
Age: 15
Race: Human
Personality: Takeshi Yamamoto is your average, run-of-the-mill teenager. He’s happy more often than not, popular and practically married to baseball. He’s rarely seen without a smile on his face, which is one of the reasons why so many people are attracted to him in the first place. He’s very kind-hearted and friendly and is also dedicated to those closest to him, which are (right now) his dad and his teammates. Because of his easy-going personality, he makes friends very easily and has no enemies within the school that he knows of.
Despite being friendly and somewhat street-smart, Yamamoto is a little oblivious when it comes to what’s going on around him. Those who call themselves his friends often wonder if he really is that stupid or if he’s just hiding under a mask of ignorance to protect himself from getting hurt. They will probably never know the answer to that question.
Yamamoto isn’t stupid, however, and does notice things, especially when it concerns those closest to him (his dad’s bad about hiding his sword skills from him), but there are some things he really is ignorant to. He will forever remain a mystery to those around him (which only adds to his appeal in the eyes of some).
When it comes down to it, Yamamoto is dedicated to what he believes in and what he values the must. Currently, that includes his father, teammates and baseball, but there’s always room for more. He also has a strange attachment to the “Cracker Jack box ring”, but he’s not quite sure why.
Aside from baseball, Yamamoto also enjoys sushi, milk products and the rain.
Appearance: Yamamoto stands at around 5’8” and weighs around 138 lbs, just in case you were wondering. He has brown eyes and black hair that looks to be in a state of perpetual bed-head, which is probably true since he’s not at all concerned with his appearance. He usually wears whatever he can throw on in the morning and never leaves home without a smile. Most of his clothes consist of t-shirts and baggy jeans (and his baseball uniform) and he has a few hats and other accessories (like a hemp anklet that he “found in his locker once”). He also wears a distinctive ring on the middle finger of his right hand. When asked where he got it (by mostly girls who probably want to get a matching one), he just smiles and says he got it from a Cracker Jack box, but the real origin of the ring is unknown, even to Yamamoto himself.
History: By someone else’s standards, Yamamoto’s childhood wasn’t particularly exciting. He grew up in the same home his entire life, spent most of his “days” going to school, making friends or helping his father out with their sushi shop and spent his free time practicing baseball by himself or with the team. However, Yamamoto isn’t someone else, so his childhood was just as exciting as he had wanted it to be. Besides, it’s not quite over just yet.
Since he was young, Yamamoto has excelled in sports, particularly baseball, and didn’t really bother with the intellectual stuff. Because of this, he ended up gaining a lot of popularity in school, especially because of his immense talent in the sport—he was able to become the “star” of the team in his first year. But even with the vast amounts of friends, he has never had a best friend—someone who can understand him—but he doesn’t mind. In his mind, baseball is all that’s really going on in his life—it’s what defines him and is his reason for existing. So when his playing drops, so does his mood.
Yamamoto lives his life like any other normal human would (without the irrational fear of getting preyed on by vampires) and doesn’t really deviate from the norm. On the contrary, he’s what one might describe as a plain and normal guy—aside from his freakish talent for baseball, of course. Aside from his mother, he hasn’t lost any family or friends, hasn’t experienced any strangeness in school (that he’s noticed) and hasn’t had any vampire troubles, which keeps his life in the “stable” range. But as far as picking sides in whatever conflict seems to be going on, Yamamoto has stayed neutral (though his friends wonder if that was on purpose or a product of his obliviousness).
